I projected my mind to the unknown abyss of historical noospheres lost in time. Like lines in an ancient tree, the consciousness of countless beings
remain floating, untouched, invisible.
As I crawled through the tunnel of memories, a terrible feeling strucked me down, I was able to experience thoughts of a being, part of a race that will reign this planet in a couple of millions of years.
Elongated bodies that walk in a menacing, primitive yet bipedal way. Six limbs with heavy exoesqueleton covering strong muscle fibers. Horrible humanoid faces with vertical serrated mouths like that of modern day insects.
The neural impulses still connected to the future told me that this is the dominant race that replaced humanity after it´s premature extinction.
But this being was afraid of something else I couldn´t grasp as I got disconnected from the noosphere.
Fragments from the mind of this giant insect still haunt my dreams.
How come a being so horrifying be so scared of something like...
